Avoid fighting Olaf at levels 1-2 — his Q and passive make him exceptionally strong in early trades, and he will likely win extended fights if he lands multiple axes.
Basic Lane Phase
Stay away from Olaf's axe when it lands — denying the pickup prevents Undertow's cooldown from being reduced based on how long the axe has been on the ground, delaying his next Q and limiting repeated damage and slows.
Lane Phase Skirmish
Keep the minion wave closer to your tower — this reduces Olaf's ability to chase you down with repeated Q slows since he has less lane distance to work with.
