When Taric tethers you with W (Bastion), position at an angle from him before he casts his E (Dazzle) stun. This creates two stun paths from different directions, making it much harder for enemies to dodge.
Skirmish Team Fight
Stay near Taric when he casts his R (Cosmic Radiance). The 2.5-second delay before invulnerability means you need to survive until the effect activates, so use defensive abilities or summoner spells if needed during this window.
Basic Team Fight
Initiate fights immediately after Taric connects his E (Dazzle) stun or while his R (Cosmic Radiance) is channeling. His stun is telegraphed but guarantees a 1.5-second window to follow up, and enemies often focus on avoiding his ultimate rather than fighting back.
Team Fight
Taric's passive empowers his auto attacks after casting abilities, reducing his ability cooldowns by 1-2 seconds per empowered attack. Give him brief opportunities to attack enemies safely to maximize his healing output and stun frequency.
Basic Lane Phase
When facing engage-heavy teams, stay within medium range of Taric but don't clump too tightly. This allows him to counter-engage effectively with his E (Dazzle) stun and R (Cosmic Radiance) while preventing enemies from hitting everyone with area damage.
Advanced Team Fight
When Taric shields you with W (Bastion), immediately engage or trade with enemies to make full use of the 2.5-second shield. The shield scales with your maximum health, making it especially effective on tankier champions.
Lane Phase Skirmish
Taric's ultimate makes nearby allies invulnerable for 2.5 seconds after a 2.5-second delay. At level 6, look for skirmishes where you can utilize this invulnerability to counter enemy ultimates or dive turrets safely.
Basic Skirmish
In late game teamfights, position to stay within Taric's R (Cosmic Radiance) range (short range) but spread enough to avoid area damage. His invulnerability can completely negate burst damage and potentially win fights if timed correctly.
