When Yorick releases his Maiden (R) to push a side lane, create pressure on the opposite side of the map through objectives or grouped pushing. This forces enemies to make difficult decisions about which threat to address first.
Late Game
When Yorick casts his W (Dark Procession), position to land your skillshots or area abilities on trapped enemies. The wall lasts 4 seconds and can only be destroyed by enemy champion auto attacks, creating perfect setup opportunities.
Team Fight Skirmish
When ganking for Yorick after level 6, time your gank when his Maiden (R) is active. His dueling and damage potential significantly increases with the Maiden, making ganks more likely to succeed.
Lane Phase
When Yorick lands his E (Mourning Mist), focus the marked enemy. Marked targets take 20% more damage from Mist Walkers, which will leap to attack them, providing significant additional damage during ganks and skirmishes.
Basic Skirmish Lane Phase
In teamfights, target enemies trapped by Yorick's W (Dark Procession). The wall prevents escape without using abilities or destroying it with basic attacks, creating a window to eliminate targets before they can reposition.
Team Fight
Before contesting objectives, give Yorick time to gather graves from nearby minion waves. With 4 Mist Walkers summoned, his damage output and objective securing speed increase dramatically.
Skirmish
During lane phase, be aware that Yorick is relatively weak early and scales into a strong mid-game. Avoid forcing risky plays with him before level 6, as he needs time to accumulate graves and access his Maiden.
Basic Lane Phase
In late game teamfights, protect your carries alongside Yorick rather than expecting him to engage. His effectiveness decreases in full 5v5 teamfights, but he can still peel effectively with his W (Dark Procession).
