When Lee Sin is looking to gank your lane, try to bait or CC the enemy to make his Q easier to land. If Lee misses his Q, he loses most of his engage potential and may have to abandon the gank.
Basic Lane Phase
Place wards in choke points and behind walls near objectives when playing with Lee Sin. His W allows him to dash to wards for mobility, giving him creative engage angles and escape routes that other junglers lack.
Team Fight Skirmish
Position at medium range opposite of Lee Sin when he's looking to use his R (Dragon's Rage). When he kicks an enemy in your direction, be ready with follow-up damage or CC to capitalize on the 1-second knockup.
Team Fight
During teamfights, try to position in a way that encourages enemies to group up. Lee Sin's R can knock multiple enemies airborne if they collide, potentially turning a fight in your favor.
Advanced Team Fight
When Lee Sin commits to a fight by using the second cast of his Q to dash to an enemy, follow up immediately with your damage or CC. This is especially important in early skirmishes where he can be vulnerable after using his mobility.
Skirmish
When Lee Sin is making aggressive plays in the enemy jungle or deep in a lane, position within 700 units of him to offer a Safeguard (W) escape route if things go wrong.
Skirmish
In the late game, use your own engage tools first when possible, allowing Lee Sin to save his R for peeling or making picks. His utility becomes more valuable than his damage as the game progresses.
Late Game
Lee Sin is strongest in the early game and can effectively invade enemy junglers. As a laner with priority, be ready to collapse and assist him during early jungle invades to secure a lead.
Advanced Lane Phase
After Lee Sin lands his E (Tempest/Cripple), immediately follow up with your own abilities. The slow is strongest right when applied and decays over 4 seconds, providing a perfect window to land skillshots.
Basic Skirmish Lane Phase
When facing invisible champions, stay close to Lee Sin so he can reveal them with his E or marked Q. The reveal from his abilities provides a crucial window to target otherwise untargetable enemies.
