When Lux lands her Q (Light Binding), immediately follow up with your own damage or CC abilities. The 2-second root creates a perfect window to land skillshots or close the distance to locked-down targets.
Basic Lane Phase Skirmish
Position in a line with Lux when she casts her W shield. The shield passes through allies twice (going out and returning), so staying in its path grants you double the shield value, significantly increasing your survivability.
Basic Team Fight
When Lux reaches level 6, be ready to engage when she lands a Q. Her full Q+E+R combo can delete squishier enemies, creating a numbers advantage for objectives or tower pushes.
Lane Phase
In teamfights, Lux's W shield can protect multiple allies from area damage when positioned correctly. Group up when expecting enemy area damage, but not so close that you're all vulnerable to the same enemy abilities.
Team Fight
Use the vision from Lux's E (Lucent Singularity) to safely check bushes or objectives. Coordinate with her before face-checking dangerous areas, as her E can reveal enemies from medium range.
Skirmish
Lux's ultimate (Final Spark) has super long range and reveals enemies hit for 1.5 seconds. When contesting objectives like Baron or Dragon, she can check the objective's health from safety and potentially steal it.
Late Game
Escort Lux when she's warding important areas, especially around objectives. Her lack of mobility makes her vulnerable when alone, and losing her before a teamfight puts your team at a significant disadvantage.
Late Game
If you have reliable CC abilities, use them to set up Lux's Q (Light Binding). This chain CC approach extends the lockdown duration and ensures Lux can land her full damage combo.
Skirmish Team Fight
Fight in jungle corridors and tight spaces when playing with Lux. Her abilities are much harder to dodge in confined spaces, making her CC and damage significantly more reliable in these areas.
Advanced Team Fight
When Lux applies her passive mark to enemies (visible as a glowing effect), she needs to hit them with an auto-attack or her ultimate to trigger bonus damage. Give her space to safely auto-attack marked priority targets in skirmishes.
