When Mordekaiser lands his R on a key target, immediately push the resulting 4v5 — his ultimate banishes one enemy champion from the fight for 7 seconds, giving your team a numbers advantage to force a fight or an objective.
Team Fight
Ward the Dragon and Baron pits before contesting them with Mordekaiser nearby — his R can banish the enemy jungler for 7 seconds, denying their Smite and making the objective far safer to secure.
Advanced Late Game
Hold your own crowd control until Mordekaiser's E finishes its pull — the claw takes half a second to land, so CC used too early on the target wastes the chance to chain a longer stun or root onto a grouped enemy.
Skirmish Team Fight
Before Mordekaiser tries to ult a priority target, strip their spell shield or land your own crowd control on them first — his R fails and goes on full cooldown if the target is spell-shielded, displacement-immune, or CC-immune the instant he casts it.
Advanced Team Fight
Help Mordekaiser survive to level 6 — he has almost no mobility before then and can be poked down or ganked, but once his R comes online he can force a winning 1v1 on nearly any target.

During Mordekaiser's mid-to-late-game split push, hold priority elsewhere and avoid letting him get caught alone — his dueling power makes 1v1s heavily favor him, but he has no way to escape a coordinated 2v1 collapse.
Late Game
When Mordekaiser hits three stacks of his passive, he pulses magic damage in a short radius around himself and gains bonus movement speed — layer your own area damage into that same space to maximize damage on grouped enemies.
