Prioritize fighting in jungle areas rich with terrain when playing with Qiyana, especially near river entrances and objectives. Her ultimate creates a shockwave that stuns enemies against walls, creating perfect setups for team follow-up damage.
Team Fight Skirmish
Qiyana gains tremendous kill potential at level 6. Her ultimate can stun multiple enemies against terrain for up to 1 second while dealing significant damage, making her early roams and skirmishes exceptionally dangerous.
Basic Lane Phase Skirmish
Pay attention to what Element Qiyana is holding (shown by her weapon color): Blue (River) roots enemies, Brown (Terrain) deals extra damage to low health targets, and Green (Brush) grants her invisibility for repositioning or ambushing.
Skirmish Team Fight
When setting up for teamfights, position to force enemies between Qiyana and terrain. Her ultimate creates a shockwave along terrain borders that stuns enemies, maximizing its effectiveness when enemies are backed against walls.
Advanced Team Fight
When Qiyana moves to roam from mid, prepare in the target lane with crowd control or damage abilities. Her combination of mobility and root (with River element) makes her ganks especially lethal when teammates are ready to follow up.
Lane Phase
Establish deep vision in the enemy jungle to help Qiyana find safe flanking routes. She excels at approaching from unexpected angles to assassinate priority targets before important objectives.
Late Game
Be ready to focus fire with Qiyana when she has the Terrain element (brown weapon) and enemies fall below 50% health. Her Q deals 60% increased damage to these targets, often allowing for quick executions.
Skirmish Team Fight
After the early game, allow Qiyana to farm in a side lane rather than contesting mid farm. She needs gold to maintain her assassination potential and can quickly rejoin the team using her dash abilities.
