Sion's R is great for engaging and setting up ganks, but very telegraphed — you (and your enemies) will hear a global roar when he uses it regardless of where he is on the map.
Basic Team Fight Skirmish
Position to follow up the instant Sion's Q lands — a fully charged Q (held for the full 2 seconds) knocks enemies up and stuns them for up to 2.25 seconds, plenty of time to land your own damage or CC.

Don't retreat the instant Sion goes down in a fight — his passive revives him to full health with high attack speed and 100% life steal for several seconds, so staying nearby lets you capitalize on the chaos he causes.

If you're ganking top and see Sion knock a minion into your lane opponent with his E, follow up immediately — the flung minion slows and armor-shreds any champion it passes through, even one hiding behind the wave.
