Brand's Q only stuns enemies if they're already Ablaze (hit by another ability first). When you see Brand land an ability followed by his Q, be ready to follow up immediately during the 1.5-second stun window.
Basic Lane Phase Skirmish Team Fight
In teamfights, try to position in a way that forces enemies to group together within medium range of each other. Brand's ultimate bounces between nearby targets and prioritizes champions who are Ablaze, making it devastating against grouped enemies.
Team Fight
When Brand consistently lands his W (Pillar of Flame) on enemies, look for opportunities to engage on these weakened targets. His W has long range but a slight delay, so enemies hit by it are often predictable in their movement.
Lane Phase Skirmish
At level 6, coordinate all-ins with your Brand support. His ultimate can deal massive damage in confined spaces like the bot lane or jungle corridors where it can bounce multiple times between targets.
Basic Lane Phase Skirmish
Target enemies already afflicted with 1-2 stacks of Brand's passive. When he applies 3 stacks to an enemy champion, it creates an explosion dealing percentage max health damage, which is especially effective against tanky opponents.
Advanced Team Fight Skirmish
Brand is immobile and vulnerable when warding alone. After 25 minutes, accompany him when establishing vision around Baron and Dragon to prevent him from getting picked off, which could lead to lost objectives.
Late Game
When laning with Brand, position closer to your tower compared to when paired with protective supports. Unlike many supports, Brand offers minimal protection beyond his conditional Q stun, making you vulnerable to all-ins.
Lane Phase Team Fight
Check Brand's mana bar before engaging in fights. After casting multiple spell rotations, he often runs low on mana. If it's below 30%, he won't be able to contribute his full combo and you should avoid extended fights.
