When Gragas uses his R (Explosive Cask), position yourself on the opposite side of where enemies are being knocked. This creates a "pincer" effect, trapping enemies between you and Gragas for easy follow-up attacks.
Team Fight
When Gragas lands his E (Body Slam), immediately follow up with your own damage or crowd control. His stun lasts for 1 second, giving you a perfect window to land your abilities without the enemy being able to dodge.
Basic Skirmish Team Fight
Help clear minions between Gragas and enemy champions when he's looking to engage. His E (Body Slam) is blocked by the first enemy hit, including minions, so creating a clear path allows him to reliably stun enemy champions.
Basic Lane Phase
Gragas can cast Flash during his E (Body Slam) for unexpected engages from long range. When his Flash is available, be prepared for sudden aggressive plays, especially around objectives or during ganks.
Skirmish Team Fight
When contesting objectives like Dragon or Baron, coordinate with Gragas to use his R (Explosive Cask) to separate the enemy jungler from their team. This creates a window to either secure the objective or eliminate the isolated enemy.
Late Game
Gragas's Q (Barrel Roll) increases in damage and slow effectiveness the longer it sits (up to 2 seconds). When it glows bright red, it has reached maximum power, dealing up to 150% of its initial damage and slow.
Lane Phase Skirmish
In teamfights, position within medium range of Gragas if you're playing a carry role. This allows him to protect you with his E (Body Slam) stun and R (Explosive Cask) knockback when assassins or divers target you.
Team Fight Late Game
Gragas's Q (Barrel Roll) provides vision where it lands for 4 seconds. Let him use this to safely check bushes and unwarded areas before your team approaches.
