Engage when Lucian's E (Relentless Pursuit) is on cooldown — without his dash, he becomes significantly more vulnerable to all-ins and crowd control.

Respect Lucian's level 2 power spike — make sure you hit level 2 at the same time as him (first wave plus three melee minions of second wave) to avoid unfavorable trades.

Position away from your minions when Lucian has Q available — he will try to line up his Q to hit both you and minions at the same time for efficient harass and farming.
