Maintain distance and kite Udyr when he approaches — he has no gap closers other than movement speed from his E and must run directly at you to engage.
Basic Team Fight Skirmish
Focus Udyr immediately after he uses Flash+E to engage — once these are used, he has no other escape tools and becomes extremely vulnerable.
Team Fight Skirmish
Avoid fighting Udyr 1v1 in the early game — his stance-switching makes him an excellent duelist with both sustained damage and defensive capabilities.
Basic Lane Phase
Track the cooldown of Udyr's stun immunity (6-4 seconds per target, decreasing with E level) — he can't stun the same champion again during this period, creating a window for counter-engage.
Advanced Skirmish Team Fight
Keep Dragon and Herald well-warded, and ping for team assistance immediately if you spot Udyr approaching — he can solo these objectives quickly due to his sustain and damage.

Engage on Udyr after his W shield expires — this 4-second defensive ability gives him significant damage reduction and healing that makes him difficult to kill.
