Stay away from your minion wave when laning against Yasuo — his E (Sweeping Blade) allows him to dash through minions to reach you, giving him both mobility and increased damage through stacked E passive.
Basic Lane Phase
Bait out Yasuo's W (Wind Wall) with less important abilities, then engage during its long cooldown (25-17 seconds) — his defenses are significantly weaker without this key protective ability.
Lane Phase Skirmish
Look to trade or all-in when Yasuo has 0-1 stacks of his Q — without his tornado (third Q) available, he loses his knock-up setup for his ultimate and much of his threat potential.
Lane Phase Skirmish
Avoid fighting in narrow jungle pathways and don't group too closely in team fights — open areas make his tornado easier to dodge, and spreading out reduces the effectiveness of his ultimate on multiple targets.
Team Fight Skirmish
Hit Yasuo with a quick auto-attack or ability to pop his Flow shield before committing to a trade — the shield only lasts 1 second, creating a brief window where he's more vulnerable.
Lane Phase Skirmish
Yasuo has major power spikes at level 6 (ultimate unlock) and when he reaches 100% crit chance with two items. His passive doubles critical strike chance, making him reach full crit much earlier than other champions.
Basic Lane Phase Late Game
Prioritize applying CC to Yasuo as soon as possible in fights — shutting down his mobility prevents him from stacking his Q, dashing with E, and ultimately using his R, making him much easier to defeat.
Skirmish Team Fight
Position your team to attack from different angles when facing Yasuo — his W (Wind Wall) only blocks in one direction, preventing him from negating all incoming damage with a single Wall.
Team Fight
Time your immobilizing CC for when Yasuo is mid-dash with his E — he can be knocked down during Sweeping Blade, interrupting his mobility and making him more vulnerable.
