Maintain distance from teammates during team fights — Brand's ultimate bounces between nearby champions and does maximum damage when you're grouped together.
Basic Team Fight
When you see Brand's W indicator, move sideways to dodge — the Pillar of Flame has a noticeable 0.6 second delay before it erupts.
Lane Phase
Look to engage Brand immediately after he misses his Q — without his stun available (6-8 second cooldown), he becomes much more vulnerable to all-ins.
Lane Phase Skirmish
Position behind minions to block Brand's Q — this skillshot stops at the first target hit, preventing him from stunning you.
Basic Lane Phase
Avoid fighting in jungle corridors or narrow spaces — Brand's AoE abilities and ultimate are much more effective when enemies are naturally clustered in tight quarters.

Place Control Wards in lane bushes — Brand often hides in bushes to ambush you with his combo, and proper vision denies this strategy.
