Gwen's W makes her untargetable to enemies outside the mist, but this protection doesn't extend to allies. When fighting alongside her, position to focus the same targets rather than expecting to share her protection.
Basic Team Fight
When Gwen reaches level 6, be ready to follow up when she uses her R. Her R slows enemies with each cast and can be recast twice with increasing numbers of needles, creating setup for your crowd control or damage.
Basic Skirmish
Watch for Gwen building her Q stacks on minions before a fight — at 4 stacks, her Q reaches maximum damage and fires 6 snips. Be ready to follow up when she dashes in with a fully stacked Q.
Lane Phase Skirmish
Layer your crowd control after Gwen's R needles connect — each cast applies a slow, making it easier to land your own skillshots or follow-up CC for devastating combos.
Team Fight
In late game team fights, engage from the front when Gwen flanks from the side — she functions best when able to access targets with her short-range abilities, and a front-line distraction lets her get into position.
