When Renekton activates his R (Dominus), be ready to follow up on his engage. His ultimate grants him bonus health and increased damage output, making this his strongest fighting window.
Team Fight Skirmish
Watch Renekton's Fury bar (below his health bar). When it's above 50, he can empower his next ability for stronger effects including a longer stun (W), more healing (Q), or armor reduction (E).
Basic Lane Phase Team Fight
Renekton has a strong level 3 power spike when he unlocks all abilities, and is even stronger for ganks when he has 50+ Fury. His W provides a point-and-click stun, while his E gives him two dashes for gap closing.
Lane Phase
When playing physical damage champions, focus targets that Renekton hits with his empowered E (Dice). This ability reduces the target's armor by up to 35% for 4 seconds, significantly increasing your damage against them.
Team Fight Skirmish
During mid-game, when Renekton split pushes, create pressure elsewhere on the map to prevent enemies from collapsing on him. His strong 1v1 dueling can secure side lane advantages if not outnumbered.
Late Game
Coordinate tower dives with Renekton when he has his point-and-click W stun available. His ability to take tower aggro with his R's bonus health makes him an excellent dive partner.
Lane Phase
Against champions with shields, let Renekton lead with his empowered W, which completely destroys enemy shields before applying a 1.5-second stun. Follow up with your own damage or CC for maximum effect.
Advanced Team Fight Skirmish
Renekton relies heavily on his abilities to fight effectively. When his E (approximately 10-16 second cooldown) and W (8-16 second cooldown) are on cooldown, avoid engaging as he'll have limited mobility and crowd control.
Skirmish Team Fight
In late game teamfights, after Renekton's initial engage, help him transition to peeling rather than diving deeper. His W stun becomes more valuable for protecting carries than for diving when he starts to fall off.
Advanced Late Game Team Fight
Renekton's Q (Cull the Meek) heals him for each enemy hit, with increased healing against champions. For extended skirmishes, try to fight near minion waves or jungle camps to maximize his sustain potential.
