Watch which ultimate Sylas has stolen with his R before committing to a fight — his engage pattern and damage output change completely based on the copied ultimate, so plan your own crowd control and positioning around it.

Don't count Sylas out at low health in a fight — his W heals for far more the lower his health is, letting him dive back into an enemy and turn a fight you thought was already won.
Skirmish Team Fight
When Sylas's E lands, he stuns the target briefly and then dashes in for a knock-up — hold your own crowd control until after the knock-up ends so you aren't wasting it on a target that's already locked down.

Sylas's E dash gives him strong roaming potential out of mid — side lanes should play cautiously when he's missing from vision and be ready for a stun into engage.

Sylas's level 6 power spike depends entirely on which ultimate is available to steal — a strong team-fighting ultimate on the enemy team makes him far more dangerous at 6, while a weak enemy ultimate pool limits how much he gains.
