Click Thresh's W (lantern) when he throws it to dash to his position — it can save you from danger, let you engage unexpectedly, or cross terrain that would otherwise cost a Flash.
Basic Skirmish Team Fight
The instant Thresh lands his Q (hook), commit your damage or crowd control — the 1.5-second stun is a guaranteed window before the target can use mobility or defensive tools.
Skirmish Lane Phase
Support Thresh usually maxes Q first for the shorter cooldown and higher hook damage — expect him to look for all-in engages from level 2 onward, and be ready to follow up.
Lane Phase
When Thresh has R (The Box) up, force enemies toward the walls with your own crowd control — breaking a wall slows for 99% for 2 seconds, an easy window for follow-up damage or abilities.
Team Fight
When Thresh recasts Q to dash to a hooked target, expect him to follow with E (Flay) to knock them toward your team — position behind the target so the knockback carries them deeper into your side.
Advanced Skirmish Team Fight
Thresh gains permanent AP and Armor from collecting souls — his damage and shields scale up over the game, so expect him to hit harder and shield more the longer he collects them uncontested.
Late Game
If support Thresh buys Mobility Boots, expect him to roam to mid or top — play more conservatively while he's missing from bot lane and follow up when he shows in your lane.
Lane Phase
When ganking with a support Thresh, position on the far side of the target before he throws his lantern toward you — clicking it lets you appear from an unexpected angle.
