When playing with Yuumi, the ally who gets the most "Friendship stacks" (gained when killing enemies while Yuumi is attached) becomes her "Best Friend" and receives powerful bonuses like on-hit damage and increased healing. If you're playing a carry champion, try to be the Best Friend by having Yuumi attach to you during farming and takedowns.
Basic Lane Phase Late Game
When Yuumi is attached to you and casting her Q, move forward in a straight line briefly to help her land the missile on priority targets. This allows her to apply a slow that becomes much stronger (up to 65%) after the missile has been in flight for 1.35 seconds.
Lane Phase Skirmish
Yuumi's R fires 5 waves that slow enemies and heal allies. When she starts channeling while attached to you, move in the direction you want the waves to go, as Yuumi can steer them based on your position. This is an excellent moment to engage or reposition a teamfight.
Team Fight
Yuumi needs to detach occasionally to trigger her passive with auto-attacks, making her vulnerable. When she signals or detaches near you, stay within her W range (medium range, around 700 units) so she can quickly reattach after proccing her passive shield and heal.
